Addison Grace Blunt

Addison was born at 6:10 am on Wednesday, February 11th. She weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and was 19.5 in long. She has brown hair and big blue eyes. We will see if her eyes change to brown like her daddy's or stay blue like her mom's. She is such an amazing baby, we are on day 2 of being home and we couldn't be happier. I never thought I could feel this pure of a love for someone, it is the most overwhelming feeling I have ever experienced. We are so blessed to have such a happy, healthy and beautiful baby.

Hair

As we get closer to Addison's due date, I keep dreaming about what she will look like. I have been very interested to see how much hair, if any, she will have. I had a little light brown fuzz on top of my head when I was born. Recently, I asked Terry's mom to sent me baby pictures of him so I could get an idea of what he looked like. The pictures are so adorable!! There was one that I wanted to share with all of you. This is a picture of Terry with his Nana and Papa when he was a newborn. Just look at all that HAIR! I would love it if Addison was born looking like her daddy!

New Doctor and Decorating

I had my first doctors appointment on Friday with my new OB. She was absolutely wonderful! I felt extremely comfortable and she bumped my due date up 5 days! Gotta love that! She measured me and said that she doesn't think there is anyway I will make it until the 28th of February. She felt my tummy for Addisons position and said that it was so hard I must be having a "practice" contraction. She waited a minute of two and felt again, and sure enough she was able to press down and feel the baby this time! I couldn't believe I hadn't felt it myself yet! My belly feels tight and sometimes it is worse than others, but I had no idea I was having contractions. I also learned that Addison is head down already and I got to feel her head, booty, back and legs! It was amazing...The doctor took the time to show me where to feel and what everything was. Switching doctors sure did turn out to be a blessing!

With the new bumped up due date, Terry and I decided we needed to start working on the nursery. We got all the extra furniture out and started arranging the baby furniture. We aren't too far yet, but it is starting to look like a baby's room! I am finding that decorating baby rooms isnt my forte! HAHA! Any ideas or suggestions are welcome! I am doing the nursery in brown and pink (polka-dots and stripes). I will keep you updated on our progress!

Baby News

Over break, I had my 30 week appointment. The doctor told me that she was moving to Michigan in a week! I couldn't believe it, I was so mad! She told me that this would be my last appointment with her. I had already scheduled the rest of my appointments at her clinic for the remainder of my pregnancy. Terry and I spent the rest of that morning searching for a new OB and finally found one that delivers at OMC. I know that there must be a reason this happened, I am praying that the new doctor will be perfect for our family. I also learned at that appointment that I am measuring two weeks ahead of schedule and the doctor told me that she wouldn't be surprised if I went a few weeks early! YIPEE! I will keep you posted on upcoming appointments!

Happy New Year!

I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas break! I know we sure enjoyed the time we were able to spend with our family. We had tons of visitors come into town this year. I'd like to think it was me they were visiting, but I think the main attraction in KC was Doug! Our visitors included: from Billings, MT- my brother and sister (Kole & Jana), from Colorado- my aunt Paula and cousin Caleb, from Florida-my aunt Jody, from Texas- My aunt Cheri and Uncle Dave, from Arizona- My cousin Josh and his wife Jenny (and baby-to-be). Terry was able to take a week off of work and relax with everyone too!
